Paint Your Dog Party
Anyone who has followed me on social media for more than one day knows that I love my bulldogs (especially Truman)! Patrick and I are involved in our local English Bulldog rescue and I was very excited when they planned a day at Wine and Design to paint our bulldogs. Of course I had to sign up to paint Truman!
It’s an ingenious setup- you send them a photo of your dog/pet and they will print it on canvas. Then you arrive and start painting!

It was so funny to arrive and see all these bulldog portraits. One of the teachers said, “my, that’s a lot of bulldogs!” I thought it would be relatively easy since you already had your photo on the canvas but it wasn’t! Unless you put a lot of time into adding dimension to your painting it just looked like a flat dog.

Here’s pre-painted Truman. I just love this photo of him in his turtleneck sweater. I spent almost an hour working on his hairy chin until Patrick basically took my paintbrush away.

I LOVE how all these paintings turned out. Each one of them looks great, which is no easy feat when many of us are not artists. It was really a lot of fun and I love that I have a painted portrait of my right hand dawg.
